Project: Redwood Deck and Overhang

Sonoma County backyards are synonymous with redwood decking. This local statement is one that will last for decades with minimal upkeep. We precoat every board with Penafin tree oil to ensure complete coverage upon installation. Penifin only needs a yearly recoat to keep the same look and color year after year. Depending on the exposure recoating can be stretched out to two years. This project featured new footings, pressure-treated sub-framing, an overhang connected to the house for a year-round cover, built-in benches, and a hog wire railing. The roofing material on the overhang was a double-walled polycarbonate to allow sunlight in but minimal heat exposure during those nice summer evenings. We also do composite decking systems such as Trex or Timber Tech.
